PepperPot Spicy Recipes from around the world
I was born in Guyana and now live in Venezuela. I grew up with a very eclectic group of friends and I have to say that my taste in food is not common for a Guyanese but as a West Indian I still favor food with a strong, pungent and hot taste to it. I think food should have a zing, sure it doesn't work for everything and the zing must not necessarily come from chilies, but it can be obtained from spices and herbs as well.
Sometimes it's hard to find certain ingredients living in an ever-changing country, so I would try and adapt a recipe or leave the ingredient out entirely. Here are some of my favorite recipes, some are mine and some from around the world, so please feel free to poke around, join the kitchen forums, see the handy tips and just experiment in the kitchen. After all, it's your kitchen, your budget and your taste buds!. Cheers and happy cooking!
